Popamora Point Beach

Located adjacent to Sandy Hook Bay Marina at the end of Shore Drive in Highlands, NJ, this park has one of the best bay-shore beaches on Sandy Hook Bay and it also sits next to the entrance of the Henry Hudson Trail.

Sandy Hook Beach at Gateway National Recreation Area

Originally discovered by the famous Sea Captain Henry Hudson in the early 1600’s, Sandy Hook is a beautiful 1,655 acre barrier peninsula with a view of the Manhattan skyline. There is a seven-mile stretch of pristine ocean and bay beaches excellent for surf casting, swimming and sunbathing. Nature lovers will revel in the 300 plus species of migratory birds, as well as the pristine holly forest.

Sea Bright Beaches

The Borough of Sea Bright has seven free public beach access ways on Ocean Avenue which are clearly identified by signage. In addition, there is the Sea Bright Municipal Beach which offers lifeguards, rescue personnel, restroom facilities, and seasonal locker rentals. To utilize these municipal facilities a daily or season beach badge is required. For more information contact the Beach Office in season at 732-842-0215.

A private fishing charter is when everyone on the boat is from the same group for one fee. These trips are not priced as a per person rate. Only you and your family or friends are on the boat. You are paying for the entire boat to take you fishing.

Henry Hudson Trail

This paved, 10-foot wide, 24-mile long trail is a former railroad right-of-way. It is relatively flat, traveling through both man-made and natural environments. Much of the trail is tree-lined, though some parts have views of surrounding wetlands, streams and fields.
